It's really touching to see what is currently happening in Magallanes, for those with some disappointment that we felt as citizen involvement since the return to democracy had almost disappeared. All that we feel cheated and upset with the current social torpor afflicting our country, we must speak out and support their demands for Magallanes in this contingency is a great opportunity and an example to demonstrate tangibly that citizens can and has the power to bend the hand to their leaders when the majority disagrees with their decisions, as they, who are elected by us, are those who have the obligation to respond to popular demands, and not just continue being treated as mere consumers must only comply with everything that is imposed only post to benefit powerful groups that distort, manipulate and control often the reality.
I think this is the moment when we must defend, and disseminate opinions in favor of Magellan, it would not surprise me that during the next week the communications equipment change public profile showing the worst of the demonstrations and putting half Chile against Magellan.
The political landscape does not stop surprising because until now we have seen a government that ran without any major mishaps only against a weak and divided opposition, but surprisingly a citizens' movement without political banners succeed in moving the executive floor of showing it to little ability to react to this situation, being of obtuse in front of public opinion, now showing interest in dialogue after closing with a bang that any initial attempt. Also it is less the fall of the former energy minister and the incorporation of its workhorse (Golborne) as biministro mining and energy in a risky move that could catapult the political future of this minister or burn him alive be definitively against the currency as fast as it grew in popularity.
In short, I call to be attentive to what happens, it is not surprising that now the news focus on Magellan ridicule certain ideas of independence, or stress disorders and dissenting opinions. Let not the communication equipment, which probably will be deployed this week, ends with the just demands of these real people, because if the rest of the regions we complain about what is right, we have no right to point the finger at those who boldly if they do.
